A surface veil is a thin, engineered layer applied to the outer surface of a composite part during manufacturing. It's a small component with an outsized job: facilitating resin flow, protecting the underlying laminate from UV degradation and corrosion, and giving the finished product a smooth, high-quality surface finish.
Without a well-engineered veil, manufacturers risk fiber blooming, uneven resin wet-out, and surfaces that are prone to shedding or fuzzing — all of which compromise both appearance and long-term durability.

OXVeil Apex is built for high drapability and faster wetting, with a soft texture ideal for complex mold shapes — spanning the widest weight range at 41–80 gsm.
OXVeil Therm-X is engineered for higher temperature resistance and high tensile strength, standing out with a tensile rating of 66–142 lbf — well above the rest of the line.
Each product is available in white or black (with other colors available on inquiry, and Therm-X in gray), and can be enhanced with optional features including apertured construction for faster wetting, resin treatment for improved stiffness, or fiberglass reinforcement for maximum strength.
